MY VIEWS

With deep appreciation on Doctors’ Day

As we emerge from waves of a two-year pandemic, Doctor’s Day continues to be as important as ever. There are not enough ways to thank each of our doctors and our front-line caregivers who are working through the pandemic with courage and excellence.

Since Doctors’ Day 2021, our Providence family of organizations have been through two more COVID-19 surges, along with caring for a huge number of patients who needed us for accidents, heart attacks, strokes, cancer and other non-COVID treatment.

We couldn’t have served our patients so well without our doctors leading the way through these grueling times. I’m inspired by the way you and your teams live out our Mission of serving all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable – and our values.

I’m honored to partner with you, and we’ll continue to do everything we can to provide the support you need, both for your patients and your personal well-being.

There are many who have deep appreciation for our doctors who've served selflessly and made many sacrifices these past two years. On this Doctor’s Day, please join me in celebrating doctors and all caregivers by posting tributes on social media with the hashtag #ProvidenceHeroes.
