Supporting caregivers in Eastern Washington affected by wildfires

The past few days have been devastating for communities in Eastern Washington, where two massive wildfires erupted over the weekend. Some Providence caregivers have lost their homes while several others have been evacuated or displaced.

Thank you to our teams on the ground for working tirelessly to make sure all our caregivers are accounted for and safe. Providence is also providing resources to those affected, including temporary housing, financial assistance, and mental health and wellness support.

Many of you have asked how you can help so I want to let you know that the Caregiver Disaster Relief Fund is now accepting donations to support affected caregivers in our Spokane-area ministries.

We are also closely monitoring the flooding in Southern California particularly in the high desert and are prepared to support any affected caregivers in a similar fashion.

To our dedicated local teams, thank you not only for taking care of one another, but also for continuing to report to duty to ensure vital patient care services continue uninterrupted at a time when our patients need us most. Each of you are in our hearts.
