If you’re an iPhone user, you may be familiar with Apple’s Health app. It helps you keep track of how many steps you take, how much sleep you’re getting, what you’re eating and how often you stop to quiet your mind and relax.
Now, the app features a new health records section that can help you keep track of the medical information you get from your doctors, clinics and hospitals. Providence St. Joseph Health is participating in this new feature. As Apple said in a recent announcement, the new feature can “help patients better understand their health history, have informed conversations with physicians and family members, and make future decisions.”
In other words, the more informed patients are, the more empowered they are to take charge of their own health. Read Apple’s recent announcement to learn more about the new health records feature.
This feature is now available to patients of Providence Health & Services and Kadlec Regional Medical Center, with other organizations within the Providence St. Joseph Health family participating soon.
