MY VIEWS

A note of gratitude

Every morning, I reflect on the care and healing that will unfold across our ministries through the course of the day. I think about the patients who count on us and how, for many of them, this will be one of the most important days of their life.

And I say a silent prayer of gratitude for each of you — for the excellence you bring to your work, and the compassion, respect and dignity with which you care for our patients, especially those who are most vulnerable.

Our Mission would not be possible without you, the 119,000 caregivers of Providence St. Joseph Health. That is why we are committed to making our organization an exceptional place work. We want to create an engaging, energizing work environment that enables you to use your gifts and bring your best to the job every day.

As I wrote in my 2019 recap, this has been a remarkable year. We had our share of challenges, but we also had an impressive list of accomplishments that advanced our journey to Health for a Better World. And that would not have happened without you. From everyone on the executive team, thank you for everything you do.

We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends and hope you find time to rest and recharge. And to our caregivers who are working over the holiday, thank you for being here for our patients during this special season.
