MY VIEWS

Wishing you a warm and restful Thanksgiving

A message of gratitude for caregivers in the Providence family

I am grateful every day for each of you. But this Thanksgiving especially, I want to express my sincerest gratitude for the incredible work you do on behalf of those we serve.

The unprecedented pressures facing health systems across the U.S. have made 2022 even more challenging than the first two years of the pandemic. Yet you have continued to care for our patients – and one another – with love, compassion and excellence.

Thanks to you, our strategies for navigating the times are starting to make a difference, and we are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Although we still have a journey ahead, together, we are moving in the right direction and taking steps to ensure the Mission endures and thrives for generations to come.

As I reflect on this holiday week, I count the 120,000 caregivers who comprise the Providence family of organizations among the biggest blessings in my life, and I consider it a true honor to work with each of you.

Wishing you and your loved ones a warm and restful Thanksgiving. And to those on duty over the holiday, thank you for being here for patients and families in their time of need. My heartfelt appreciation to each of you.
